About Sam Curcio
Trusted Business Broker & M&A Advisor - Transworld Business Advisors of New York
Driven to Deliver Real Results, Not Just Listings
I'm a high-energy, results-driven professional with extensive experience in Business Brokerage and Main Street M&A. My mission is simple: to help business owners sell confidently, maximize value, and close successfully - no fluff, no guesswork, and no wasted time.
Selling a business isn't about luck - it's about precision, strategy, and execution. That's where I come in.
I take great pride in delivering the highest quality service to entrepreneurs who trust me with their most important asset their business. Every deal I take on, I treat like my own.
A Career Built on Integrity, Skill, and Relentless Drive

My background is rooted in finance - I earned my Business Finance degree from SUNY New Paltz School of Business, where I developed the analytical foundation that drives every valuation, negotiation, and deal structure I work on today.
But I'm not just a broker - I'm an entrepreneur who's been on your side of the table.
My wife and I bought and sold a café in the East Village, experiencing firsthand what it's like to be business owners navigating a transaction. We worked with a broker for both deals, which gave me invaluable perspective on what works, what doesn't, and what sellers truly need from their representation.
That experience changed how I approach every deal. I know the sleepless nights. I know the emotional attachment. I know the fear of leaving money on the table or choosing the wrong buyer. I've lived it.
And I am not working alone - you're getting a dedicated team.
After we sold the café, my wife transitioned to work with me full-time, handling back-office operations and ensuring every transaction runs smoothly behind the scenes. My sister manages buyer inquiries, pre-qualifying prospects and keeping communication flowing. We also have a virtual assistant handling administrative tasks so nothing falls through the cracks.
This team approach means you get responsive, professional service at every touchpoint - not a solo broker juggling too many deals.

Professional Credentials That Matter

I hold two critical certifications that set me apart in this industry:
Certified Business Intermediary (CBI): Achieved through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), this designation is held by only the most qualified professionals in our field. It requires rigorous training and continuous education to maintain, ensuring I stay current on market trends, valuation methodologies, and transaction best practices.
I'm a proud member of the IBBA, staying connected to the leading professionals and resources in business brokerage.
Licensed Real Estate Agent: This credential allows me to handle both business and real estate components of deals, providing comprehensive representation whether you're selling assets, real property, or both.
As one of the youngest brokers to join the Transworld Business Advisors network, I quickly stood out by earning the
Presidents Club Award for top brokers. But more than awards, what matters to me is the trust I've earned from seasoned entrepreneurs who value honesty, integrity, and a relentless work ethic.
When I say I'll get your deal to the closing table, I mean it.
Constantly Expanding My Network & Industry Presence

Success in business brokerage isn't just about closing your own deals - it's about building relationships that open doors for your clients.
I'm deeply connected to the business community:
-
Active member of multiple networking organizations including ARG, Galloway, STG and others
-
Regular attendee at industry events, local business meetups, and investor forums
-
Occasional speaker at industry events and panels on business valuation, exit planning, and M&A best practices
This network isn't just for show - it's how I connect your business with qualified buyers you'd never reach on your own. Private investors, family offices, strategic acquirers - I have direct relationships with the people who can write the check.
Discipline, Grit & Mental Toughness

I believe the habits you build outside of work directly impact the results you deliver inside of it. That's why I push myself relentlessly - in business and in life.
Personal Challenges I've Completed:
-
75 Hard Challenge by Andy Frisella (2023) - 75 consecutive days of two workouts, strict diet, gallon of water, 10 pages of reading, and zero excuses
-
NYC Marathon (2024) - 26.2 miles through all five boroughs
-
50K Ultramarathon (2025) - 31 miles of endurance and mental fortitude at the Runningman event by Jesse Itzler.
These aren't just fitness milestones - they're proof of the discipline, consistency, and mental toughness I bring to every deal. When challenges arise in a transaction (and they always do), I don't quit. I problem-solve. I adapt. I finish.
I maintain a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise, meditation, and continuous learning, which keeps me sharp and solution-focused for my clients.
Giving Back & Leading

I'm deeply passionate about community leadership and mentorship.
For over 20 years, I've been actively involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, growing awareness about CF raising funds for the cure of the disease. I've been a member of Tomorrow's Leaders for the past 5 years, connecting young professionals and helping them build meaningful careers while supporting the cause. I currently serve on the Tomorrow's Leaders Board.
In 2021, I was honored with the CFF Leadership Council Award for my contributions to young professional growth and community leadership. In 2024, I received the National Tomorrow's Leader Award, recognizing my continued commitment to developing the next generation of leaders.
Giving back isn't optional for me - it's foundational. The same commitment I bring to nonprofits is the same commitment I bring to your exit strategy.
